Edward M. McNamara

Edward M. McNamara was a beloved figure in Ronkonkoma, New York, where he dedicated his life to community service, business leadership, and the arts. From his early days at Sachem High School to his influential roles in the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Band, McNamara's impact was felt far and wide.  Early Life and Education.  Born and raised in Ronkonkoma, New York, Edward McNamara attended Sachem High School in Lake Ronkonkoma. It was here that he first began to cultivate his deep sense of community spirit and leadership qualities.  After high school, McNamara continued his education, eventually earning a Master's Degree in International Inspector General. This foundation of knowledge would serve him well in his future endeavors.

Edward McNamara's career spanned multiple facets, each reflecting his commitment to service and excellence. With over a decade of experience in the Financial Services Industry, he brought a wealth of expertise to his professional roles, contributing to the economic growth of Ronkonkoma and its surrounding areas.   However, it was in his role as President of the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce that McNamara truly left his mark. He worked tirelessly to promote local businesses, foster economic development, and strengthen the bonds of community. Under his leadership, the Chamber flourished, becoming a vital hub for business and community engagement.

Beyond his business and civic endeavors, McNamara was also a talented musician and dedicated member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Band. His love for music and his commitment to serving his country converged in this role, where he brought joy to audiences and served as a proud representative of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
